This Privacy Policy specifically describes how IGGDRASIL DOO ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use the OffshoreTrainer mobile application for iOS and iPadOS.
1. Overview & Local-First Architecture
OffshoreTrainer is designed with a privacy-conscious architecture. Much of your learning data, exam scores, and offline study records reside entirely on your local iOS device.
2. Information We Process
- Study Progress & Exam History: Exam answers, practice tests, and module completion markers are stored locally on your device.
- In-App Purchases & Subscriptions: All transactions are processed through Apple's StoreKit and App Store infrastructure. We do not receive or store your credit card numbers or financial details. Apple provides anonymous transaction receipts to validate premium status.
- Operational Utilities: Data entered into rig calculators, unit converters, and lift cards remains strictly local on your device.
- Messaging & In-App Communications: Messages transmitted through secure communication channels are processed solely to deliver communications between authorized users.
- Location Data (Optional): If you enable location permissions for weather intelligence, your approximate coordinates are transmitted to retrieve local marine forecasts and are not stored or tracked.
3. Third-Party Services & Analytics
OffshoreTrainer does not include third-party advertising SDKs, data brokers, or commercial behavioral trackers. Platform telemetry provided by Apple (such as opt-in crash diagnostics via Apple TestFlight / App Store Connect) is managed directly under Apple's standard developer privacy terms.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Local application data can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the application from your iOS device or clearing data in the iOS Settings app. If you have registered an in-app account for cloud sync or messaging, you may request account deletion by emailing info@yggdrasil-doo.me.
5. Security
We use standard encryption protocols (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit and adhere to Apple iOS security best practices, utilizing the Secure Enclave and Keychain for sensitive cryptographic keys.
6. Children's Privacy
OffshoreTrainer is a professional maritime tool intended for adult seafarers, students, and industry operators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
